Project overview
We used a number of Massive Loop features to deliver a working, white-labeled digital twin of Oklahoma City University’s campus for their OCU Virtual Campus initiative.
The University was seeking a unique way to give students a walkthrough of their campus and to engage with program information that was more interactive than a simple 2D video. We worked closely with their team on how to best use Massive Loop features to accomplish their implemenation goals.
The end result was a working digital twin of OCU’s campus spanning 6-blocks and more:
- Digital Twin of campus spanning 6-blocks
- White-label launcher with OCU branding launched from their landing page.
- Multiple building interiors with streaming videos for program material
- Multiple custom branded avatars with OCU branding
- Data persistence using cloud variables
- Scripting for portals and drivable golf-cart interactions
- REST/API integration with an existing chatbot.
- Doorbell feature notifies staff when new visits occur
Massive Loop Tools
- Digital Twin / Campus Walkthrough
- White-Label Mode
- Branded Avatars
- Cloud Variables / Analytics
- C# Scripting (for vehicles)
- VR, Desktop, Web
- Doorbell Feature

Our Approach
Any user can publish worlds, avatars and updates to their existing Massive Loop account (see our documentation for more info). In this project OCU opted to use our Design Services allowing us to provide a turn-key solution from design to deployment. We held regular meetings to discuss options and get vital feedback through a staged implementation. Our turn-key process was as follows:
- 1. Environment Design Study
- 2. Avatar Design Study
- 3. Configure their Massive Loop Server.
- 4. Scripting interactive items and API connectivity
- 5. Testing Platforms (Desktop/VR)
- 6. Deployment (Launch button generated automatically)
